Here then is Part 2 of my conversation with Allen Meadows - who is not only Burghound, I should point out, but also a leading writer/critic on Pinot Noir wines from Oregon and California. Look for his coverage of domestic Pinots in his next issue, which launches in early October, I believe.

I’m excited to announce the debut of the Scott Paul Pinot Podcasts - an irregular series of on-line radio programs devoted to our favorite subject - the world of Pinot Noir! In my previous incarnation I was a national radio personality for over 25 years, and I’m thrilled to get back “on the air” and talking about Pinot (which beats playing the same Michael Jackson record every two hours, believe me!) We’ll have interviews, mini-seminars, conversation, education, and whatever else sounds like a good idea at the time!

We’re honored to kick-off the series with an in-depth conversation with Mr. Burghound himself, Allen Meadows. Since 2000 Allen has been the publisher of the quarterly Burghound.com, which has quickly become the reference standard for Burgundy reviews and coverage of the world’s most exciting and complex wine region. Allen spends a minimum of four months each year living and tasting in Burgundy, and is perhaps the world’s leading authority on the wines, vineyards, producers, and history of all things Burgundian.

Part 1 of our conversation is up now - and we’ll have Part 2 up within the next week. Enjoy!
